AUTHOR BIO
David Stevenson has taught creative writing at universities in the West for over twenty years, and currently serves as Director of the Low-Residency MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage. An avid mountaineer, he has contributed fiction, literary non-fiction and essays to a number of publications, including Alpinist and Cimmaron Review, and has served as reviews editor for The American Alpine Journal for many years.
He is the author of three books: Letters from Chamonix (2014), a collection of short stories that won the Banff Mountain Book Award in 2014; Warnings Against Myself: Meditations on a Life in Climbing (2016); and Forty Crows (2018), a novel. He also publishes a blog, I May Be Some Time, available at ddstevenson.blogspot.com
