Patterns & Sequences: A Poetry Workshop with Nicole Stellon O’Donnell [Mar 27, Apr 3, Apr 10]

March 27, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Are poems solitary, sprouting alone on their single page? Or are they best cultivated in relation to the drafts coming up alongside them? How do connected sequences work on the reader and work for the writer? In this workshop, we’ll explore how writers can leverage patterns and sequences to strengthen their writing practice. Together we will build structures that encourage all of us to generate and revise. All levels of experience welcome.

NICOLE STELLON O’DONNELL’S most recent book, You Are No Longer in Trouble, was the 2019 open submission winner of the Marie Alexander Series in Prose Poetry. Her next book, Everything Never Comes Your Way, is forthcoming from Boreal Books in August 2021. A recipient of fellowships from the Rasmuson Foundation and the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation, in 2016 she also won an Alaska Literary Award. Her work as a teacher has been Recognized with a Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching. Learn more about Nicole’s work at her website, www.nicolestellon.com.
