Come join other literary-minded folks for a holiday gathering/writing group meeting tomorrow night, December 8, 2016, from 7-9 pm at the Park Shore Condos.
Yes, even by Juneau’s last-minute standards, this is a late invite but we hope you can attend.
For the past two years now, a group of 49 Writers members have been meeting on a monthly basis to chat about writing, complain or crow about obstacles and triumphs, and share snippets of our work. Attendance varies – sometimes there’s almost 20 of us, other times an intimate group of two.
No matter your level of writing experience, this is a fun group. First we mingle, eat and drink (it’s a potluck – bring what you will!). After that, we introduce ourselves and talk about what we’ve been up to and then – for those who want to share – read a little of our work.
While these gatherings are many things (networking opportunities, an opportunity to get inspired), it is not a critique group. It’s a safe place to talk about writing.
Meetings usually take place on the first Thursday of every month at a member’s homes. This month, we’re meeting the second Thursday in the downtown area. For directions and more info email info@49 writers.org.
Hope you can join us.
