Bio: Mia Heavener writes in the morning, plays civil engineer during the day, and commercial fishes in the summer—all so her cat can live a rich and comfortable life. She is of Norwegian and Yup’ik heritage and believes that everyone should have a good whiff of the tundra at least once in their life. She has a BS from MIT and an MFA from Colorado State University. Her fiction has appeared in Cortland Review and Willow Springs, and Fjords Review. She is the author of Under Nushagak Bluff.
