For the last six months, our volunteers have kept this blog lively with roundup news, calendar updates, and great interviews; quietly done behind-the-scenes writing center work by registering class participants and helping with the devilish detals of bookkeeping and budgeting; made us look so much better thanks to stylish graphic design; cleaned and fixed and renovated and changed lightbulbs and moved furniture and helped with yard sales. (Phew!)
If you’ve been one of those volunteers, an unsung hero or heroine, we want to make sure you know about our upcoming Volunteer Celebration on Thursday, November 11. We’ve tried to reach everyone by email, but in this busy election season, those inboxes were bursting. So if you don’t know about the event, please contact us. Even if you can’t attend, we need to hear from you because 1) we want to take this opportunity to express our thanks with a new incentives program for completed hours and 2) we want to make sure we have you on our email rolls.
