If you think that becoming a writer will make you happy – If you think that a day will come that you will feel satisfied and complete – If you think that there is a day when at last you will be the writer you’ve always imagined, I tell you that day will never come. But if you think that by choosing to devote yourself to becoming a better writer, to sharing your work, and to helping other writers, you will grow beyond whatever you can imagine – that I can promise.
