Lynn Lovegreen: Free Memoir Writing Workshops Start Soon!

To
commemorate the historic rise of Anchorage from the first sale of town lots in
1915 to Alaska’s largest city in 2015, 49 Writers will publish a memoir
anthology—Anchorage Remembers: 1915-2015—that celebrates the history
of Anchorage in the words of those who have lived it. We are currently
offering a series of FREE memoir writing workshops taught by local writers
to help
interested individuals with a
story idea for submission. The first takes place at the Pioneer School House
on 3rd Avenue, Saturday & Sunday, 1-3 pmJanuary 25 & 26 and February 1 & 2 (8 hours total).
We are
looking for new or experienced writers 50 years and older who are interested in
learning about memoir writing, have a story to tell or an idea for a story,
want to receive feedback on their writing, and would like to submit a short
personal story (up to 1,000 words) they have written to the Anchorage
Remembers anthology.
More
information can be found on the 49 Writers website at http://www.49writingcenter.org
